My Newest Masterpiece

For the last two Saturdays I have been taking some painting classes at my local JoAnn's store. Side note: The store by my house is like a Costco for crafting. Kind of crazy even. I couldn't believe having to take a number for the cutting table. And forget going on a Saturday, it ends up being me and all the old grandma's vying for a spot to park our carts full of fabric while waiting for our numbers to be called.

I digress. Back to my masterpiece. Today was the whole reason for taking the classes. I really loved it and hope to pull out my paints again soon so I can make another.
Its called "Bed of Tulips" (not my name, but what the class called it.)

Sissy, that is lovely! Nice job - it's harder than it looks, isn't it? Maybe you can teach me a thing or two next time we see each other.

That is awesome! I'm impressed with all three of you siblings who paint. You're quite talented!

Wow! I am very impressed. I struggle to get my pencil (or paintbrush) to make the image that I have in my head! Way to go!!

Rach- Great job! Very realistic. I truly felt your spring. Ever since I was forced to paint in art school, I have stayed far, far away from paints of any kind. My painting teacher would walk by my desk and I would quickly say "I'm a photography major!" And he would smile, nod, and move along!

WOW! That looks sweet! You're really good! You should teach me sometime! When we were at your house, Chris kept pointing out all the paintings on your walls and saying, "See, this is a good painting!" (In reference to my lame paintings).

That's wonderful! Beautifully done! Hey so my hubby was sitting next to me, as I was blog stalking, and realized that he went to school with Ryan! Well he thinks he did anyway. Did Ryan go to Bountiful? Ask if he knows Brannon Richardson!

That's a great picture. I totally agree about the whole number thing at joanns. I've never seen anything like it. I really want to take a sewing class at JoAnn's. You'll have to tell me if it's worth it.

Beautifully done, sweety. Hope you'll keep it going!

Nice work! So, you must still be sewing if you were cart-crashing with the grannies at the fabric store? Man you were good in sewing class, I'm still jealous.

I'm back, thanks for the visit to my spot - check in often cause its nice to feel like I have friends. I looked through your old posts and got excited about your garden. It looked great. So are you going to try one in AZ too? Have you read Square Foot Gardening? Check it out, I learned a lot and might attempt it this year after my garden was overtaken with weeds last season.
